Chapter 1: Technically I Never Defiled Your Honor!
"Mm…"
Moonlight poured like water over the shallow grass by the shore of Lake Boli.
Two figures overlapped, scorching heat radiating outward. A heart-tipped tail trembled in midair, glowing a vivid pink.
"Little incubus…"
The man bit down on his heart-tipped tail, eyes dark, fingers pressing neither too hard nor too lightly against the incubus's lower belly. The pale body shivered, and a flushed, unnaturally rosy face lifted to reveal a pair of beautiful pink eyes.
"Ha…"
"Let me possess you. Form a contract with me…"
……
"Open your data page permissions."
The man before him wore a dark expression, deep blue eyes burning with anger. Though his voice remained as flat as still water, it was enough to make Zhu Rong tremble.
His ID was Jingzhe, and that name had sat at the top of the peak rankings for three months straight.
"C-can we not?"
Zhu Rong, covered in suggestive red marks, sat pitifully in the grass.
"We just accidentally slept together once. And this is a full-dive game—I didn't even have sensory simulation on. I barely felt anything the whole time…"
"So technically, I never even touched your innocence!"
He was just a nobody. His profile was completely blank. Compared to the server's number one, he wasn't even worth mentioning, and opening his profile felt like being stripped naked in public.
Clearly, the vicious dragon in front of him had no intention of listening to his excuses.
Jingzhe leaned down, sharp nails pushing aside the rough cloth robe on Zhu Rong's body. "Accidentally slept together once? You think what I care about is being slept with once by you in a game?"
Zhu Rong froze for a second.
"If it's not about being slept with once by me… then what is it?" Zhu Rong asked cautiously.
Jingzhe stared at him and said, word by word:
"You're an incubus."
Zhu Rong nodded, awkwardly touching the little horns on his head.
"I'm an incubus…"
"In the game's setting, incubi have a contract function." Jingzhe's expression grew colder, almost murderous, as if he wanted to swallow Zhu Rong whole. "Right now, your account is bound to mine. Do you understand?"
"Huh?"
Zhu Rong's mouth fell open.
"What does bound mean… like a game relationship?"
Jingzhe didn't answer, just gave a cold snort.
He opened his own profile and shared it with Zhu Rong.
ID Jingzhe… current rank one in the personal arena on the Otherworld Arbiter server, rank three on the equipment leaderboard, guild Polar Light.
Zhu Rong whispered in awe, "So strong."
"Mm." Jingzhe swiped to the next page. "Just look at the last line."
"Oh." Zhu Rong responded, his gaze landing on the small text at the bottom. "Jingzhe and player Rongrong have been contract master and slave for one day… incubus contract intimacy points: 1…?"
"……"
As soon as the words left his mouth, the two fell into an eerie silence.
"Can everyone see this binding?" Zhu Rong was on the verge of collapse. "What the hell is master and slave!? This game is way too twisted!!"
"It's fine as long as you don't make your profile public."
Jingzhe pressed his lips together, still looking displeased.
Very few people chose incubus in this game. Usually only couple players—people who didn't care about progression or PvP and just wanted to date—might pick incubus to spice up their relationship.
It wasn't exactly in line with content regulations, but if the official rules didn't explicitly forbid it, then it was allowed.
—So much so that whenever players saw an incubus in-game, their minds couldn't help but wander.
He lifted his eyes and swept a glance over Zhu Rong.
The face was well-made. Probably a preset file from some blogger online, imported directly for use.
The rough cloth robe he wore was the default starting gear, ugly beyond words.
"That's good." Zhu Rong breathed a small sigh of relief.
As long as he didn't make his profile public, his dignity was intact.
Even though it was just a full-dive game, face and profile data could only be changed once every six months. He still had to use this account for a long time.
"Share your profile permissions with me." Jingzhe spoke again. "I already showed you mine."
Zhu Rong hesitated for a moment. "Fine."
Less than half a minute after the permissions opened, the man's entire face went black.
"Is there… something wrong with my profile?"
Zhu Rong lifted his face and shifted uneasily in the grass.
As if he was already prepared.
The moment this foul-tempered black dragon made a move, he would scramble away from this disaster zone as fast as he could.
"Heh."
Jingzhe said nothing, only sneered.
ID Rongrong, registered less than a month ago.
No ranking in personal or team arenas, not even a guild. Just a wandering little incubus.
With a trash account like this, Jingzhe wouldn't even bother clicking on it if he saw it in public chat.
If he ran into it in the arena, one basic attack might leave the guy owing him five thousand HP.
And yet now his account was bound to this damn incubus. The contract terms stated that bound accounts could share experience and arena points—but they also had to share punishments and damage.
Furthermore, to enjoy double points and experience, the level gap between the two accounts couldn't exceed half of the higher-level player's level.
This incubus was only level 12. Jingzhe, as the server's number one, was already level 131—his leftover digits were higher than this guy's whole level.
As long as Zhu Rong couldn't catch up, Jingzhe couldn't gain any more experience or arena points either. Stagnating at his current stats meant the people behind him would eventually overtake him.
"Why don't you just delete your account?" Jingzhe's tone was cold. "With stats like yours, even if I carried you, it'd take three months just to hit level 60. Rather than being dead weight for me, why not start over and not pick incubus this time? How about it?"
Zhu Rong shook his head like a rattle drum. "No way! I spent two thousand on this account!"
Jingzhe shot him an impatient glare.
"I'll give you twenty thousand. Delete it right now."
"……"
Twenty thousand.
Zhu Rong hesitated for a moment, then still shook his head slightly.
He looked a little wronged, gazing up at the man with pleading eyes.
"I like my account… I don't want to delete it. I have so many materials in my storage, all gathered bit by bit every day."
"I've already planned it out—once I gather a hundred more wisteria flowers, I can upgrade to mid-tier potions! Then I'll get thirty extra experience points every day."
Jingzhe: "……"
Materials of that level were nothing but trash to him.
"I've got hundreds of bottles of advanced upgrade potions in my inventory." Jingzhe tried to tempt the incubus. "Restart, and I'll transfer all of them to your new account. You'll hit level forty in a day."
"No."
The incubus shook his head, refusing righteously.
"Then I wouldn't get the satisfaction of earning it myself!"
"I should've stopped wasting words on you and just one-shot you from the start—"
Jingzhe was so angry he spat threats, and the moment he raised his hand, the incubus curled into a ball.
His heart-tipped tail trembled pitifully, like a thin antenna in the wind.
Zhu Rong hid for a few seconds, but the expected attack never landed.
He quietly peeked up and glanced at Jingzhe.
The look in his eyes was clearly less fierce than before. The tail and claws behind him had also been put away, making him look like an ordinary player.
"Um… I'm sorry." Zhu Rong sat up straight, his expression apologetic as he met the other's gaze. "Other than deleting my account, I'll do my best to make it up to you any other way."
"Whatever you ask me to do, I'll agree to it."
The incubus's voice grew quieter and quieter, until his face unconsciously lowered again.
He twisted the hem of his clothes, not sure if he was speaking to Jingzhe or to himself. "I'm not good at fighting monsters or dungeons. I just like gathering materials, planting flowers, building little houses… If nothing else works, I could build you a little house too, as compensation."
"Okay?"
"……"
Jingzhe stared at him expressionlessly.
Okay my ass.
What was he supposed to do with a house in a full-dive game? Marry and raise kids in this virtual world?
"Forget it."
Jingzhe turned his head and pressed his lips together. "Pretend this never happened. Work hard gathering your flowers and leveling up. I hope I live long enough to see you reach level 60."
With that, he teleported away, vanishing before Zhu Rong's eyes.
Even after logging off, Zhu Rong still hadn't recovered.
Otherworld Arbiter had been insanely popular ever since its release.
Zhu Rong had watched it for a long time before finally gritting his teeth and spending over ten thousand on the full-dive headset, plus another two thousand or so to register an account.
His family was fairly well-off, but for an ordinary guy who'd only just come of age, that was no small amount of money.
He'd even thought about taking a tutoring job on weekends once school life settled down, just to earn some extra cash and patch up his drained savings.
Still, the payoff was roughly worth the cost.
Zhu Rong loved the features in this game. He was a thoroughly casual player—log in every day, finish dailies, then add to his little house, water the vegetables and flowers in his fields.
Once he had enough dimensional coins, he even wanted to buy a puppy.
Of course, those were all thoughts from before he met Jingzhe tonight.
The account Jingzhe had blown up around the same time as Otherworld Arbiter itself. Whether it was the cool, ruthless black-scaled, blue-eyed dragon appearance, the brilliant arena plays, or even sheer spending power—
The guy seemed like a perfect all-rounder, terrifyingly flawless in every way.
Like most ordinary players, Zhu Rong had always viewed him with a vague big-shot filter.
Now…
Zhu Rong closed his eyes and burrowed under the covers.
Even though it was just sleeping together once in a full-dive game—at most, his game account had been entered by Jingzhe's game account—it still gave him the shameful feeling of a one-night stand.
He could only hope that when he logged on tomorrow, he wouldn't run into that moody god of disaster again.
