Chapter 5

Chapter 5: Guan Yizhou Is Here!

Halfway through a yawn, her mouth open and unable to close, Li Yang's brain flatlined for a moment.

Fortunately her reboot speed was fast, and she immediately supplied the appropriate emotional response:

"Trust~"

Tainuo laughed, a rasping sound like sandpaper scraping from his throat.

"Then... shall we do it? Shao Yao."

The hand that had been resting on top of her head slid down along a loose strand of her hair, fingertips tracing her slender neck.

"Now?" Li Yang was startled.

Three in the morning? Wasn't that how you dropped dead?

Tainuo's smile deepened, his hand continuing downward, tracing the edge of her collar, arriving at the button by her collarbone...

"If we don't do it, how am I supposed to prove I love you?"

Tainuo's speed was a bit much—Li Yang, mid-yawn, nearly got flung off.

In Li Yang's eyes, Tainuo was not a man of heavy desires.

He had grace, he had restraint; he knew how to coax and he knew when to stop.

If Tainuo Pain ever went into the trade, he'd absolutely be the top earner at a male escort house.

The kind she couldn't afford.

So she treasured every opportunity the organization gave her.

The R-rated scenes she'd witnessed in person during the day were now savagely assaulting Li Yang's brain.

The man's pheromones mixed with the scent of tea, scattering the sleepiness from her body.

Not to mention, she still had the task Hu Jianming had assigned her.

Tonight might be a good chance to slip into the study and plant the bug.

A sly glint surfaced in her delicate fox eyes. Li Yang sat herself on Tainuo's lap, looped her arms around the man's neck with practiced ease, and pressed the softness of her body against him.

"Sir, let's go to the study."

Tainuo placed one hand against her lower back, neither too light nor too heavy: "Why?"

Li Yang: "I'm a bit sleepy. I want to switch to somewhere more exciting."

Tainuo: "The study is exciting?"

"Never tried it before." Li Yang melted into the man's arms and nuzzled against him.

Tainuo let out two low, deep chuckles: "The garage, the pool, the stables—we haven't tried those either. Pick one?"

Li Yang stiffened.

Did that mean she'd have to "do it here" at every location in the estate before the study was even on the table?

Li Yang kept trying: "The study is quieter. No one else around."

Tainuo: "In this entire estate, no one dares disturb us."

Li Yang wouldn't give up: "I'm scared of the dark outdoors."

Tainuo: "Then pick the pool. The pool has lights."

Li Yang racked her brains: "The pool breeds mosquitoes. I'm afraid of getting bitten."

Tainuo: "Then pick the garage. If you like, any car will do."

Before Li Yang could come up with a new excuse, Tainuo cut off her escape route entirely, his voice lazily drawling as always:

"Baby, don't set your sights on the study."

Li Yang's words caught in her throat. She pressed her lips together.

The number of times Tainuo had called her "baby" could be counted on one hand—and all of them had been in bed.

This was the first time outside of it.

Li Yang wasn't used to it. She quietly reached over and smoothed down the goosebumps that had risen on her arm.

Just then, the man's hand came up along her sides through her jacket, moving upward.

Oh no!

The bug was in the pocket at her side!

Li Yang slammed her hand down on Tainuo's, like pressing a "stop" button.

Tainuo raised an eyebrow, the corners of his mouth curved upward, his gaze unfocused:

"The study's off the table, so we're not doing it?"

Li Yang felt a flash of awkwardness. She knew some things couldn't be done too deliberately—it would raise Tainuo's suspicions.

The study would have to wait for another day.

She smoothed things over: "I just wanted to take the lead myself."

With a "zip," Li Yang pulled off the jacket containing the bug and tossed it far away.

Beneath it, only a thin, form-fitting nightgown remained.

She took Tainuo's hand and guided it along the side seam of her nightgown, all the way up:

"Sir, don't you like it best when I take the initiative?" Her voice was honeyed enough to wring water from.

The man scooped her up with one arm.

The room was small. Tainuo turned and bumped into a low cabinet, and took the opportunity to set Li Yang down on its surface.

Gripping her waist, he lowered his head and pressed a kiss to her collarbone.

Tainuo: "During the day, when you watched that couple go at it—did you feel anything?"

Li Yang, sitting on the low cabinet, said nothing.

She kicked off her shoes, opened her knees to make room, and hooked her foot lightly against Tainuo's calf...

She barely used any force, and the man followed, pressing against her.

This height was just right—a perfect fit.

"And you, Sir? This morning, when you heard that woman's voice—did you feel anything?" Li Yang deliberately leaned in to whisper by his ear.

Her hand coiled around him like a snake. She arched her slender neck, letting Tainuo's kisses travel from her collarbone upward.

"I was wearing earphones listening to the Cleansing Heart Mantra at the time. Couldn't hear that woman's voice..."

The man let out a low laugh, like a blade that hooked the soul: "Right now, I only want to hear you."

He traced along her fragrant, soft shoulder hollow, then swept over her sensitive throat, making the person in his arms let out a little "mmph," and finally stopped at her sharp, delicate chin...

He stopped right there, not climbing further up to that soft crimson.

No kissing—that was an unspoken consensus between them.

No matter how many times they did it, the two of them never kissed.

Li Yang liked this tacit understanding. To enjoy only the pleasure of the body, without investing emotion—that was just fine.

Like hiring a male escort, except free of charge.

Tainuo bit down on her proud soft flesh, the fine, fragmented pressure of his teeth making Li Yang tremble.

"Is this exciting enough? Still sleepy?" Tainuo murmured, his fingertip hooking down what remained on her body...

Li Yang was teased into a haze of desire. The "mm" that slipped out, carried on a wave of lust, made Tainuo think it was her answer.

So he coaxed her: "Good girl. Once we get to the main event, you won't be sleepy anymore."

Li Yang was a person with no backbone to speak of—and no saint either.
