Chapter 2

Chapter 2: Aren't We Friends Too?

At the very least, Taino Parn really had been blind back then.

Li Yang was fairly sure of that.

Otherwise, the beast between his legs wouldn’t have shown zero reaction to the live porn playing out right in front of him.

A man and a woman were going at it on the bed, pumping away, building toward their climax.

And Taino Parn just sat on the sofa nearby wearing headphones, his unfocused gaze drifting over them.

Back then, Li Yang was a maid who brewed tea for Taino. Her name was Shao Yao.

She wore heavy makeup to cover up her naturally striking features, making herself look completely average.

Fake identity. Fake name. Fake face.

She nestled into Taino’s arms, openly observing his junk—

Amid all those “ahhs” and “mmms” in the background, nothing stirred.

When it was over, the man on the bed—Taino’s body double—quietly slipped away.

The girl on the bed kept her blindfold on.

Li Yang pulled away from Taino’s arms and said to the girl, “You can take the blindfold off now.”

Hearing this, the girl removed it and prostrated herself at Taino’s feet according to Mian City etiquette.

Taino took off his headphones and said flatly, “Good service. Go back and thank Madam Talina for me.”

His skin was pale, which made the corners of his eyes look faintly red. His brows and eyes were exquisitely shaped, his lips pale, his jawline soft and delicate.

This man was far too beautiful. That single “good service” left the girl’s heart fluttering.

She swayed her hips closer. “Madam Talina said that if you’re satisfied, I could stay at the estate.”

As she spoke, she reached out to stroke Taino’s knee.

The man gave a light scoff and flicked his leg aside, leaving her grasping at air.

Taino crossed his long legs. The tip of his shoe just barely touched the girl’s chin, and he hooked it upward, lifting her face:

“Shao Yao… is she pretty?”

Li Yang didn’t even spare her a glance. “She can’t hold a candle to a single strand of my hair.”

The girl instantly flared up. She’d spent a million on this face, front to back. How could she let some plain bitch trash-talk her?

“Are you blind?! If you’re blind, go get it treated! Don’t spout nonsense with your eyes open! Anyone, even a blind person, could tell who’s better looking!”

Before Li Yang could react, Taino laughed first.

He said, “Shao Yao, she called you blind. Are you angry?”

Li Yang got it.

Whether she was angry didn’t matter. What mattered was that Taino was angry.

He was the sugar daddy. He needed coaxing.

Rule number one of being a kept canary:

[When your sugar daddy gets mad, either soothe him immediately, or soothe him on top.]

Li Yang chose the former.

She sniffled hard, her voice carrying a hint of tears. “Mm, I’m very angry. Sir, you have to stand up for me.”

The girl grew even more furious. “You lowly servant, acting like such a slutty bitch! Let me show you how I deal with you!”

She lunged forward, raising her hand against Li Yang.

Li Yang caught her wrist. One second before she could apply force and snap it, she looked over at her sugar daddy.

Her sugar daddy did nothing.

Right, he couldn’t see anyway.

But he could definitely hear.

So Li Yang released her grip and ate the slap raw.

*Smack.* Taino raised an eyebrow.

But he didn’t say anything for a while. One hand rested on the back of the sofa, the pads of his thumb and index finger rubbing together slowly.

After a long pause, he finally spoke: “Shao Yao, come here.”

Li Yang held her cheek and sat down beside him.

Taino: “Angry?”

Li Yang: “I wouldn’t dare.”

Taino pulled a dagger from inside his coat and handed it to her. “Wherever she got work done that’s prettier than you, cut it. Keep cutting until you stop being angry.”

Li Yang paused. Her voice turned soft and sweet, dripping with innocence. “Can I cut her neck?”

Taino’s lips curved slightly. His hand found Li Yang’s slender neck, his cool fingertips pressing against her pulsing vein:

“Avoid this spot. Don’t play her to death.”
